About Us

How long have you been in the business?
Truly Unique has existed since the start of 2007. Dustin and Devon had been using their skills for personal purposes for several years prior. Gene has over 20 years experience in marketing.

What forms of coding do you use?
We use HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, MySQL, and AJAX. While we have some proficiency in other coding forms, we have found that those languages best suit the sites we design. We also have access to the Adobe CS3 Master Collection (including Flash) and use those programs as the need arises in designing our websites.

Can I see some examples of sites you have worked on in the past?

What do you offer that other website designers do not?
Our services are quite inexpensive, and very flexible. We are dedicated to creating sites and solutions custom-tailored to individual clients, working with them to determine exactly what they need and how to best design it for them. We also pride ourselves on our ingenuity and service.

Website Design Services

How much do your websites cost?
We price our websites based on the amount of work and complexity of code involved. Our sites can run as low as $89, and we offer payment options for websites quoted at $500 or more. In most cases, a website will fall into one of the following pricing levels: $89, $300, $500, $750, $1,000, or $1,500+.

How many pages do I get?
We don't charge by the page. Unless we will have to do extensive formatting of the pages, the number of pages will have little to no impact on the cost of your website, and in any case, you are not limited to a certain number of pages.

What kind of support do you offer?
Contact us any time if you need help with your website, or if you want us to make some basic changes or additions. We are also glad to offer what help we can regarding other questions you may have, such as technical concerns or marketing issues.

How much do I get for $89?
If you provide us with all the text and graphics and a basic description of the layout, we can get the site coded up and ready to go for $89, typically in under a day.

How much do I get for $300-$500?
A $300-$500 site is a simple site that nonetheless takes advantage of some creative custom design work. This level is perfect for primarily informative sites that want some solid functionality or impressive graphics work, but small-scale business websites can also fit quite nicely into this price range.

How much do I get for $750-$1,000?
A $750-$1,000 site is a pretty complicated website, typically including a robust database, some e-commerce functionality, and a few custom graphics as well. This level is ideal for large-scale informative sites or most serious business websites.

How much do I get for $1,500+?
A $1,500+ website is typically not just a business website - it's the business itself. These websites require multiple high-end functions (including a very powerful database) and typically also a good bit of graphics work, possibly even for non-web-related things, such as business cards and flyers.

None of the above packages sound like quite what I'm looking for. Can I get a personalized quote?
Absolutely! In fact, the above price ranges are just baseline estimates; we always provide a personal consultation before giving you a final quote, including several available options for both creation and payment so you can get exactly what you need at the best possible price. Just contact us and we will work with you to create a package custom-tailored to your business and budget.

I have no idea what I want for my website. Can you help?
Absolutely! Just contact us and we will work with you to determine what features would best suit your needs for your website.

I don't have content for my website. Can you create that too?
Yes, but we generally advise against it except in the case of dedicated SEO articles, as you know your business best.

Do you offer web hosting?
No. Most web designers simply cannot compete with dedicated hosting companies, instead providing reseller hosting packages that include less space, bandwidth, and features at a higher cost. We recommend Lunarpages web hosting to our clients. We've been working with them since we started, and not only have they been an excellent host to us, but they have routinely outperformed every other hosting company that we have had to work with for particular clients.

What do your SEO packages include?

How can I maximize my chances of getting a high rank quickly?
We offer a "jump start" option for an extra $100 in the first month (regardless of your SEO plan). If you take this option, we will submit to all of the directories in the first month, and then move immediately on to article submissions. We have found that this option maximizes the chances of getting a high ranking quickly, and strongly recommend it to all of our clients. While we have found this to be secondary to link building in effect, we can also move immediately into heavy keyword optimization on pages of your choice for $30 per page.

What's the difference between your SEO plans?
The primary difference is in the number of links we submit per month. The Cheap SEO plan includes 100 link submissions each month, the Affordable SEO plan includes 300 links per month.

How long will it take for me to see the effects of SEO?
Typically 3-4 months for the Cheap SEO plan, and 2-3 months for the Affordable SEO plan. However, SEO is not an exact science, and some businesses simply don't have many good keywords to take advantage of. Likewise, we have seen people reach page one in under a month (and our current record is two weeks flat).

Will your SEO plans get me to page 1 on the search engines?
Typically yes, particularly for low-competition keywords, although we cannot guarantee a page 1 position for any given keyword, and the time it takes to get there can vary greatly. Also, we have found that our strategies work best for Google; Yahoo and MSN results typically also occur, but usually take more time.

What keywords will you be optimizing for?
We will find keywords appropriate to your business that are both high in search count and low in competition according to our keyword research tool, and focus on them. You can ask what keywords we are specifically focusing on at any time. As time goes on and you start ranking for the keywords with the best ratio (and have a good foundation of links to build on), we will move to the higher competition keywords.

Are your SEO techniques "white hat"?
Yes; we optimize your text withour overstuffing it, focus on important places to put keywords, and submit articles and make directory submissions to get quality, keyword-targeted backlinks to your site.

What other options do you offer for increasing website traffic?
Contact us to see if your site qualifies for SEO on a commission basis. We also offer pay per click consultation for more rapid results (PPC consultation is included in all Affordable SEO packages, and can be added to a Cheap SEO plan or purchased on its own for $100/month).

How can I see proof that you are doing what you say you're doing?
You can contact us at any time to ask for a list of directories we've submitted to recently, a copy of articles we've written, or a list of keywords we're focusing on. Otherwise, we'll be contacting you as we see your website moving up for targeted keywords. You can also use the link: function on Yahoo or the Google Webmaster Tools to see some link growth, although we have noticed in the past that those systems don't always report on every link going to a site, and the time it takes for them to notice the links can vary (also, some links might be rejected).

Do you offer a guarantee on your services?
Since SEO is a competition, we can't guarantee specific results. With that said, if you don't see meaningful results after 3-4 months, we will continue at no additional cost until you have reached page one for at least a couple keywords.

Will your SEO services get me more business?
These services will get you additional targeted clicks to your website, which will usually result in more business. Naturally, once people have reached your website, your text, graphics, and products will have to handle the task of converting them to sales. If you would like to increase your website's chances, you may also want to consider our website design services.

Policies

Do you have a satisfaction guarantee?
More of a satisfaction tautology. Aside from any down payments that account for our time spent, you don't pay until you are satisfied with the site. With regards to SEO, if you don't see meaningful results after 3-4 months, we will continue at no additional cost until you have reached page one for at least a couple keywords.

Say I like what you did with my website for the most part, but there are a few basic changes I want to make. Will that cost me extra?
No. Minor changes and revisions to sites we have worked on are free.

Say that I want to experiment some with ideas for my website. Will that cost me extra?
To a certain extent, no. We're glad to help you look over different colors, layouts, and so on. Past a certain point, we do need to begin charging extra to cover our time spent, but you will be advised of this well in advance of such payments becoming necessary.

Say that I don't like how the website turned out. Will it cost me extra to start fresh?
If it is because we failed to create your website in the manner you wanted, no. If it was because we had unclear instructions, or you later change your mind about what you wanted, we prefer not to charge extra, but we may have to to cover additional time spent.

Once the website has been completed, will it cost me extra to get some updates or changes made in the future?
Not for basic updates, maintenance, and so on. Major changes or additions may entail an additional cost to cover time spent.

I see one of your packages that suits me well, but it's not within my current budget. Can you help?
Absolutely. All of our packages priced over $500 offer three-month payment options; half the site cost down, with another quarter paid each month for two months, with no interest rates. Financing is also available.

I already have a website, I just need it revised. Can I get a reduced cost?
It depends on how elaborate the existing code is, how extensive the revisions are, and so on. We typically offer reduced rates for revisions to existing sites, but if the sites are complex enough that the revisions will be just as difficult as creating the new site from scratch, we reserve the right to apply the full cost of the site.
